I have been exploring the use of technology in order to help motivate students to read. I hope you are enjoying your time off. I thought I would share an amazing book that I am in the process of reading Proust and the Squid; The Story and Science of the Reading Brain by Maryanne Wolfe. The author goes through the various chapters introducing how the brain learned to read, to how the alphabet developed and how the brain learns to read over time. It is well documented and insightful.
